Merkava Investments was born on the battlefield after Marshall took savings from multiple Afghan deployments and invested in a four-plex in San Antonio. As a retired US Army Armor Officer, Marshall named the company after the Israeli main battle tank, the Merkava, which means “chariot" in Hebrew.
Since our founding in 2018, we have grown to specialize investing in multi-family properties, short-term rentals, and renovation of historic properties. It is our mission to provide our investors with outstanding returns and our guests with five-star level accommodations. Marshall is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, and a 20 year Army veteran with 11 combat deployments. He is experienced in leadership, project management, asset management, and bio-tech sales. Marshall purchased his first real estate investment in 2013 from savings earned while deployed to Afghanistan and founded Merkava Investments in 2018.
Christa is a management/technology consultant with experience in Corporate Strategy, Performance Improvement, Project Management, and Finance. She is Lean-trained and a Six Sigma Black Belt; she holds a Masters in Management Information Systems and a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. She is currently an independent consultant for an international real estate management company.
